Woah. It’s a frame bag!
Jandd — the company — is probably about as old as this bike. Internet sleuthing tells me it was founded in 1983, a full decade before I was around. In that time it seems like they’ve learned a thing or two about making bags.
This Jandd half frame bag in digi-camo was a no brainer for me. It was cheap, it looked good on every bike, it was solidly built and easy to mount. The bag is easy enough to open while I’m riding, and my stuff doesn’t fall out. It fits a U-lock pretty easily, and you can squeeze a Camelbak or waterbottle in there if you need some extra H2O.
This is another one of my bags that gets on basically any ride that’ll be longer than 1.5 hours. I often put stuff in it that I won’t be using, but might need if things go wrong or if I wanna change the terms and conditions of the ride. I’ve been able to stuff almost anything that can be roughly tube-shaped into the bag and it has helped a lot.
It is not 100 per cent waterproof, but I live in a rainforest and I have not had any issues with my stuff getting wet. So take that as you will.
The pedigree behind Jandd speaks for itself. I think they’ll be 40 next year. If you’re looking for a cheap and durable frame bag that will do anything you need it to, get this one.
