Marc Kitteringham

I was editing these photos while listening to The Sword. The music fit perfectly with the bike.

Miles has a history with BMX. He started out as a sponsored racer for a shop in Sherwood Park, AB. After a bad crash, he experimented with a more laid-back riding style. He's been riding freestyle BMX for years now.

Myles now runs the BMX section at Western Cycle in Edmonton.

Myles' bike is a S&M Dagger. It has characteristic short chainstays that give a hell of a lot of pop. It's small size is perfect for flipping it around underneath him.

He's also made a few modifications to the bike. The stem is a mission stem that has a filed out topcap in order to fit his bars. There is also an Odyssey brake lever that he drilled out and filed in order to make it lighter.

The Edmonton-based 1664 shark saddle has gotten this bike it's nickname – the Dagger Shark

My personal favourite parts of the bike are the stickers. Myles has gone with a clean look, with a few adornments on the black frame. What stands out most for me are the Heavy Metal inspired elements, like the guitar on the seatstay, the cut out Western Cycle sticker, and the alternative S&M headtube badge.

Come down to Western Cycle and say hi to Myles!
