It is very rare that when we go out for a ride, we go out without any gear. We almost always have a tool kit, bottle and some other accessories. We pick these little things we take on our rides with care. For me, I like to keep my riding gear simple and utilitarian. I don't like to have a bunch of extra stuff, and each bike has its own accessories that suit its purpose
Devinci Chicane
On my Devinci Chicane road bike, I have my most bare bones set up. I have a Blackburn waterproof seat bag that carries my tools and spare tube, a water bottle and my Shimano SPD SL shoes.
In the seat bag I like to keep it simple. I have a Maxxis tire lever, a spare tube and a Crank Brothers multitool.
